Latest Research on Resveratrol and Treatment of Cancer

The latest reports on the health benefits of “Resveratrol” keep getting better and better, according to writer Chris Gromisch.

Latest research proposes that it just might help in the prevention or treatment of skin cancer.

Resveratrol is a component of red wine. It’s a compound found in the red grapes skin.

When resveratrol has been engrossed into the skin of SKH-1 hairless mice before or after the mice have been exposed to radiation of UVB, it slow downs the tumors production. It has shown in study.

The greatest results happened when the resveratrol was applied after exposure to UVB. This encouraging research is only in the initial stages, but once again, the probable health benefits of resveratrol are evident.

"The study result was that resveratrol application does not dish up as a topical treatment (i.e. a skin cream) but rather is engrossed into the skin as functions to inhibit tumor production. The resveratrol reason reduced tumor incidence to only actinic keratoses is not understood, but it is believed that resveratrol inhibits the surviving-phosphorylation at Thr34."
